The room that Mara had taken was of a style far different from her own home. The bed, while it rested on a low dais, was thick and soft and springy, with two small, low tables on either size.  There was a large, long, fat seat with a long table in front of it, and where matting should have been, there was instead soft, thick carpet. The large wardrobe had a pair of soft, fluffy cotton robes in it. and a single set of silk robes with a sash and some underwear. The combination of colors for the robes seemed  to be teal, forest green, pale mint green, green-yellow, the light color of spring buds and a warm almost golden-yellow. There was an embroidered sash.

The walls of the room were of some sort of pale, golden wood, the furnishings like the dais and the tables and wardrobe were made of dark brown wood, starkly elegant and gracefully carved, the carpet was a warm rust, and the silks used to cover the cushions, the pillows, the bed itself and the long, fat seat were in varying shades of golden yellows and greens.

Mara liked it. Particularly after she discovered the bathing room that adjoined it. The room itself and its furnishings were tiled in varying shades of pale blue-green, it had a tub full of steaming hot water, just big enough for two people, a rack with thick, soft, fluffy white towels, and two porcelain appliances she didn't recognize. The first had two knobs and a spout, the second had a lever.

She took the time to examine the room and try all the strange knobs.
Oh, fascinating! One of the knobs gave hot water and the other one gave cold!

Mara liked her room. She's probably going to be busy taking advantage of its assets for a bit.
